At the Dogs Body we provide a full grooming service to all our clients. This includes:

• Brush out: A full brush including stripping out the undercoat and removing matts and tangles.

• Hydrobath: A shampoo, condition (if requested) and rinse in our high-pressure hydro bath. The bath gets right down to the skin and removes any loose hair, dandruff and debris that might be in the coat.

• Blow Dry: A good blow dry. This removes any hair left after brushing and bathing and dries the coat.

• Final Trim: This is done by hand with scissors to the standard that is required by the owner.

And don’t forget the finishing touches! All our dogs get a spray of dog cologne and a bandana tied around their neck.

We also offer a 7-point animal grooming check, which involves us thoroughly going over your pet and checking:

1. Eyes: If there is any discharge, swelling, sores or objects in the animal’s eyes.

2. Ears: We check for any sticky wax residue, objects in the ears, redness or swelling.

3. Nails: We check that the nails are trimmed, if there is any broken or damaged nails or if there is any objects such as barley grass between the toes.

4. Skin/Coat: we check for any hot spots, flaky skin, dandruff, sores, rashes and parasites.

5. Teeth/Breath: We check for any tartar, broken teeth, bad breath or sores.

6. Weight: we advise the owner if their dog is looking a bit overweight / underweight and offer some suggestions on diet and exercise.

7. Anal Gland: we check the anal glands and express them if necessary.
